WELL-BEHAVED WOMEN RARELY MAKE HISTORY🥇👑
Today, the title of my speech is about “Well-behaved women rarely make history”. I have chosen three figures who have contributed a lot to make a change for the better namely Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman and Florence Nightingale. Their sacrifices in certain fields have opened my eyes after I studied about their background as well as their journey. This inspired me to be a more successful and hardworking woman like them.
Amelia Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and author. She is best known for being the first female pilot to fly solo in the Atlantic Ocean. Many accomplishments she has made throughout her career such as wrote best-selling books about her flying experiences and was instrumental in the formation of The Ninety-Nines, an organization for female pilots. One of the things that amazed me with her was that she dared to be the first woman to fly around the world despite knowing the many obstacles and problems to be faced. However, the things that made me sad and shocked when reading her story was, when she was trying to become the first woman to complete a flight around the world in 1937 she was found missing along with navigator Fred Noonan in the Pacific Ocean near the island of Howland. Their search mission failed because the bodies of both of them and the wreckage of a used plane have never been found to this day making this tragedy one of the most mysterious events and they were pronounced dead in absentia January 5, 1939. Her loss left a lot of impact on everyone at the time and even to this day.
Harriet Tubman or Araminta Ross is a political activist from the United States. She fought for the right to vote for women and attended meetings of such activists and even worked with other strongmen in the movement, including Susan B. Anthony and Emily Howland. The thing that proves she is a strong soul is when she is willing to do various missions to save some of enslaved people including her own relatives. She shows that with courage and strong determination is able to make a person successful in achieving what she desires. I like her journey to be a great woman because she started out as a mediocre person yet she strives to change society’s perception of enslaved people.
Last but not least, Florence Nightingale. She proved that even though she was of aristocratic descent it was not an obstacle for her to become a nurse who would serve to help the community. Her efforts in the field of medicine left a positive impact to be emulated especially to women. Although her decision to become a nurse was opposed by her own family yet she had proved not only to her family but the community around her that she was capable of being someone who had a huge role and contribution in the field of medicine at that time. From here I can take a lesson that a family should encourage and support the interests of family members as long as their interest is towards goodness because most likely the interest of their family members will provide something meaningful for the whole society.
That's all from me. All of these figures are very special and have a very meaningful contribution to society that has opened the eyes of the world about the greatness of a woman.

These women have shown a diligent attitude to achieve their dreams. The woman is trying to prove to the world that they are capable of being a successful individual.

I was amazed with Amelia because she is the first woman who fly airplane across the Pacific Ocean. It is not easy to face the fear and be brave at the same time.

ReplyDeleteIn this essay, a woman who has a big and strong soul, is a great woman, Even the strength of the woman's soul can be an example to all org sma whether male or female. Not only that, wealth, luxury, is not a barrier for a female figure named Florence Nightingale to help people who need help in terms of her field of nursing, although at first not in the blessing of her own family. Therefore, whatever a person does, he must do it with sincerity.
